Campers - please plan to take out what you bring in, thanks!
There is a lot of recreation here besides the pools. In the summer the reservoir is used for fishing (wall eye and small mouth bass) waterskiing, pwc, canoes, and kayaks. The dirt roads are quiet enough to walk or ride bikes and you can follow a gametrail up the hill for a nature hike. In the winter you can cross country ski or snow shoe the unplowed roads or walk the plowed and enjoy the trumpeter swans that winter here. Or you can just relax in a pool and stargaze or watch for wildlife.
If you want to camp overnight we have 8 rustic campsites, they each have a fire ring and picnic table and fit RV and/or tent. These can be reserved ahead of time. We have a 24 hours cancellation policy for single sites, if you cancel by 2pm the day before your reservation there is no charge. If you have multiple sites we need more notice, if you reserve all of the sites we need a weeks notice to rebook the sites at no charge. We do not charge for sites we are able to re-book.
All overnight guests have access to pools and shower rooms anytime of day or night while staying.
The poolhouse kitchen is available from 10am-10pm to cook, wash dishes or fill water jugs. Check in is from 2pm-10pm for campsites and 4-10pm for the lodging and checkout is noon, if you arrive before lodging is ready you may soak while you wait. Dogs are allowed in campground on leash or under control but not in soaking/lawn areas.
The 1955 Detroiter travel trailer has a queen size bed and a futon that folds down to a double as well as a small kitchen and heaters. The kitchen includes a propane stove with half size oven, sink with 5 gallon water dispenser, icebox, dishes and pans. We provide rechargeable lanterns but there is no electricity or bathroom, you can go to poolhouse for flushies or use the campground chemical toilet. Many folks bring sleeping bags and pillow of their own but we can make the beds up for a laundry fee. Check in is 4pm.
The smaller pools are drained and powerwashed once a week and the large pool is done every other week on Tuesday. We clean only one a day so there are still 3 pools to use any day and we do the cleaning on weekdays so all the pools are up and running on weekends. Usually they are cleaned Monday (unless it is a 3 day holiday weekend) through Thursday, occasionally a Friday.
Maple grove is "off grid" we make our own electricity with renewable sources with a propane backup generator. We ask that you help use conserve electricity, when not in use please turn off lights and other electric items. We do not have ANY televisions on site.
