Our weather is similar to Cache Valley except we don't share their inversions in the winter. Our cold season begins in November but we don't usually have lasting snow before winter solstice. The snow usually sticks around through Feb or March this is also our season for trumpeter swans to grace the reservoir.
Feb 22 is the last of our coldest 90 days. As with the rest of intermountain west we get a lot of variety in our springs and falls it can be warm and sunny or rainy and cool so it is best to prepare for either.
Our summers have a 40 degree temperature drop most nights because of the dry air so it is wise to bring a jacket. We also get shade from the canyon walls about an hour before sunset so we cool off sooner. The Box Elder Maple and Mountain Maple trees here usually peak in fall color around the last week of September - the first week of October.
