FAQ
Q: Are you open in winter?
A: Yes! See directions page for the only open route. You may want a warm robe and slippers for the walk to the water but once you get heated up the walk back is pretty comfortable (also for you Cache Valley residents we are out of the fog!).
Q: What is your dog policy?
A: Dogs are welcome in the camp area but not the soaking areas and poolhouse lawns. Dogs must be under controlled supervision or restrained, and picked up after. There is a doggie daycare kennel (7.5x16x 6 feet high) under a tree in front of the poolhouse where dogs can wait while their humans soak.
Q: Are suits required?
A: Yes, We live in a conservative and modest area where people would feel very uncomfortable with public nudity. Our neighbors are wonderful people and we want them to feel comfortable here!
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We need 24 hour notice to cancel with no cost. If you don't show up or don't cancel with enough notice you will be charged the full cost of the space you reserved. We will always try to rent out your space and if we can fill it we will not charge you for the space. Please understand that other folks might rent your space if it had not been reserved so not only do we lose the space but also the per person overnight fee and the opportunity for someone else to enjoy a night at the springs.
Q: Why does everyone have to pay a fee per night when staying overnight ("I don't want to soak")?
A: This is a hotspring with a campground for the convenience of our patrons not a campground with hotsprings. One of the main benefits of staying overnight is soaking as late as you want after the office is closed, we don't wish to run around all night keeping track of who is soaking and who is not. The per person fee covers each person's use of any and all of the facilities they wish to utilize (kitchen, showers, soaks etc.) while they are here.
Q: Do you get a lot of mosquitoes?
A: Not an unusal amount. The water is moving or hot which is not good for breeding mosquitoes. During the mosquito hour the therapy pool is a great place to be because the swallows eat lots of them and they don't go far from the pool area.
Q: Are the facilities wheelchair accessible?
A: No, we wish they were, but we would be glad to lend any assistance we can to make it more useable by anyone. We do have future plans when we do our next renovation and progress to "phase 2" to make wheelchair accesible restrooms/shower and perhaps we can figure out a "lift station" at the therapy pool.
Q: What kind of wildlife is around?
A: Oneida Narrows is home to deer, elk, moose, fox, skunks, many bird variety like eagles and swans in winter and hummingbirds, sandhill cranes, pelicans, egrets, and grebes in summer.
Here was our first moose Memorial weekend, 2000.
